Tom Rogers

is the Proprietor of Tom at 101 Restaurant Bar & Grill, and his name has been above the door here for five years. The restaurant has gone from strength to strength in that time, gaining the coveted Cheshire Life Restaurant of the Year for 2009, under his stewardship. Sole owner since September of last year, Tom’s vision of quality food in quality surroundings supplemented by wonderful atmosphere and service never waivers. His attention to detail has meant that customers from the region continue to flock to his popular restaurant and sample its ambiance, service, and dining fare.

Tom has worked locally for many years, predominantly renowned for his stint as Executive Chef at the Park Royal International Hotel in Stretton.  Tom was instrumental in developing the food operation once the hotel was built, helping it to become one of the North-Wests' premiere venues for food, functions and weddings. Now with his own restaurant, Tom is aiming to achieve the same parralels. His time in Stockton Heath as figurehead here has meant cherished relationships with the local customers, as well as local traders and suppliers in the village and its surrounds.

In the trade since his teens, Tom has lived through the explosion of English cuisine and service, and is motivated by continually adapting to bring you the best our little corner of Cheshire has to offer – at reasonable prices coupled with a vibrant atmosphere.

Richard Doolan

is the Operations Director at Tom’s. New-Zealand-born, he has been working in the North-West for five years since his move up from London in 2004. Associated with the restaurant since its inception, Richard has managed clubs in Wigan, St Helens & Warrington town.

Previously, he was Chef de Rang at Mikano, Cibo, and Finz of Auckland City in New Zealand, and Bars Manager of Jones’ Nightclub in Auckland’s after-hours district. In addition, he was on-board caterer for American Eagle, the 126ft tender vessel for New Zealand’s America’s Cup defense. He moved to London in 1999, and was Head Waiter at Orsino in Holland Park, and Como Lario in Sloane Square, before moving to Home House Private Member’s Club in Portman Square where he was House Manager with responsibility for the club in the evenings. In 2003-2004, he was Restaurant Manager at Scott’s Restaurant in Mayfair. He was instrumental in the revival of a wonderful institution, and has taken on the role of Operations Director at Tom at 101 to continue the good work that has already been achieved here and move the company forward with a view to expanding Tom’s business interests.

With the hospitality industry in his blood, Richard enjoys dining out, visiting far-flung world destinations, and playing the odd bit of very bad golf!

Ric Arber

has risen through the ranks at Tom at 101 to be promoted to the position of Restaurant Manager. He has revelled in his new role since January 2009 after gaining his Degree in Geography at Loughborough University. Ric is one of the original Tom at 101 staff, working on the opening night in March 2004 as a 17-year-old.

A variety of Front of House roles has enabled him to gain a valuable grounding in his job, and his generosity and commitment means that the customer is always taken care of. He has been an important factor in galvanising the staff towards achieving a more polished service, and is the first contact should you need to plan your party or event with us.

His interest in food & wine, and the wider hospitality industry in general, means that Tom at 101 continues to be blessed with dynamic, attentive, Front of House leadership, and you will see Ric most nights of the week ensuring that your visit to us runs smoothly and your drinks are topped up.

Without ever planning a career in restaurants, Ric is now an ever-present fixture in the restaurant and the wider Stockton Heath community, and his days off consist of more badly played golf!

Richard Nuttall

is the new Chef in charge of the kitchen at Tom at 101. A local born and bred, he has plied his trade in London, Corsica, and the French Alps before returning home to share his passion for food and quality, seasonal produce.

He has trained under 'celebrity chef' Marcus Wareing at his various restaurants and this focus and drive has seen him generate a desire in his kitchen team to deliver you the best that Cheshire can offer in the vibrant atmosphere that is Tom's.

Every week, Richard's specials which, for the most part, are sourced from sustainable local suppliers, will delight you in their taste, flair and creativity, whilst still maintaining Tom's strong ideals of delivering simple, total, fulfilling food to our local regulars and those from further afield.

Vicki Coward

has risen through our ranks to take the demanding role of Floor Manager. She has been in the restaurant's employ since early 2007 and our regulars will know her as the polite, smiling Vicki for whom nothing is too much trouble.

Vicki is the daughter of celebrated butchers H.E Coward's of Frodsham, who help to complete Tom's philosophy of supporting & maintining excellent relationships with local Cheshire suppliers.

Vicki's love of travelling has seen her head to various ports of call throughout the world and her experience with different cultures means she really is a lady of the people.

Anything you might need in the restaurant, Vicki will be delighted to assist - from booking your party, wedding, christening, or corporate event, right through to popping that candle on your friend's birthday cheesecake.
